TORCH™

OVERVIEW

TORCH™ is an automated workflow solution designed for sales-trading desks that makes the entire salesperson – trader interaction more efficient and productive. It also addresses the specific needs and requirements of firms engaged in the facilitation of order flow. Firms in this category employ salespeople to take customer orders as well as traders who handle customer orders, make trading decisions, and in some cases, facilitate these orders. TORCH functionality automates this workflow, streamlining and organizing processes that have traditionally been manual or, at best, semi-automated.

KEY ADVANTAGES OF TORCH

The TORCH Solution allows the salesperson to electronically enter and manage orders. The user can view quote information, including Greeks and Implied Volatility, and electronically manage and view all order information. If needed, audit trail information is also available. Upon entering a customer order, the Salesperson can route it to a Trader or another Salesperson. This ability to transfer ownership electronically is a key benefit; as it was previously done in a very analog manner.

All information can be viewed with a single Market Window and Order Status Window conserving screen real estate. The Order Status Window can be filtered to show specific information in a customized layout for quick reference. For the trader, TORCH functionality eliminates the clutter, confusion and frustration associated with handling option orders and trades on a typical trading desk. The system provides the user with the ability to assign ownership to another user; generate internal contra orders and the ability to split up an order and send parcels to an exchange for execution while keeping some of the order in the ‘pocket’, and much more.

The TORCH system dramatically reduces reliance on the telephone and replaces paper tickets, time stamps and general hassle – traders can expect to greatly increase their overall efficiency
